I have hunted the Whitetail Deer in the same general area of Pennsylvania for 52 years. After 47 years my son Greg said to me; "Dad, I'm tired of finding a good place to stand every year only to be forced to leave after a short time because of the weather conditions! Why can't we build a small hunting box next year that we can heat and be able to stay at our deerstand longer?" So we did.

Five years later, with the engineering support of my two good friends, Dean Robbins and Earl Kitchen, we have proudly crafted the DEERBOX® that we believe will revolutionize the hunting of Whitetail deer and turkey's too in the north country. But I want you to know the DEERBOX® has far exceeded our expectations.

The first 47 years of standing in the cold, walking, driving and watching deer produced 19 bucks for me. That's 19 for 47, or a 40% success rate. I never harvested a nice buck, mostly spikes, three and four pointers and several five pointers. The Whitetail buck, clearly had the advantage over me all those years.

Now, with the DEERBOX I can stay at my deerstand all day. During the last five years I have taken the four nicest bucks of my hunting career. That's an 80% success rate. The DEERBOX® has taken the advantage away from the Whitetail deer and given it to me. Now I can even pick and choose the buck I want. By the way, it could have been 100%, I just didn't see a big enough buck.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission has made a change for the 2002 deer season requiring a legal buck to have a least 3 points on one antler. The DEERBOX® gives you a better opportunity to do this! In the 2001 Pennsylvania deer season, Greg videotaped eleven different bucks the first two days and selectively waited to harvest the biggest buck when it reappeared several days later. My point is, with the DEERBOX you get a real good look at the deer you harvest. We have had deer bed down as close as twenty yards and have never seen a deer spook away from us.

Let's face it -- we all want to hunt comfortably, be successful, and would like to be selective. The DEERBOX® provides us with the best of these worlds.
